Technology hates me

Just testing to see if I can get this to post without a white background behind my letters. I pretty much am technologically impared...

Here's a list of reasons why:
  • My Villanova computer is officially dead.
  • My work computer is on its way out
  • I threw my camera on the ground last weekend. Despite my initial reaction to scream, "I THREW IT ON THE GROUND!" it was not as amusing as the Andy Samberg video once I discovered my camera no longer works.
  • My iPod shuffle just died on my run this morning.
  • My iPhone barely works. And does strange things.
  • I dropped my old throwback bring iPod in the toilet
  • I'm notorious for losing running watches including losing one the day after I purchased it.
The list goes on. I'm fairly certain technology has haunted and will haunt me for my entire life.

Oh hey again...

Despite my claims that I would be good about keeping up with this blog when I started it, I have failed. But it’s a new year… academically speaking of course. Almost a new calendar year… and this is my new resolution. Quick highlights of what I’ve been up to since then:
·    I got a stress fracture in late Spring and missed some outdoor races. It was totally my fault for jumping back into workouts too soon. Will not make that mistake again this year.
·    Did lots of swimming and Alter G running.
·    Came back from that fracture to have a successful summer season. I pr-ed by almost 30 seconds in the 5k to run 16:06 at the USA 5k Championships and get 7th. I also ran 4:38 to win the 5th Avenue Mile Metro Elite section.
·    5th Ave was way fun, though mighty painful, and my Mom and Dad even flew up from FL to cheer me on!
·    I moved to Dirty Jersey.
·    I started a fellowship with Johnson & Johnson. I’m working in their Corporate Social Responsibility Department and manage all sorts of awesome programs that really help people.
·    I started pursuing my Masters in Corporate Communications at Rutgers.
·    Even though I am now a Rutgers student, I refuse to buy a Rutgers sweatshirt or bumper sticker because I will always be a Villanova Wildcat. I wear my Villanova gear all over Rutgers.
·    I turned 25 and had an awesome birthday party planned by my awesome boyfriend in Atlantic City.
·    I still tell people I’m 23 because it sounds way cooler. Plus I still look like I’m 19 so no one questions it.
·    My little sister runs for Villanova and it’s only a matter of time before she starts beating my old records. At least I still have more state titles than she does ;-)
·    Our team got bigger and I love the new additions… Ashley, Stephanie, Annick, and Nicole. And some boys. Watch out for NJ*NY TC… we are actually kinda legit now!
·    I especially like palling around with Nicole Blood and being Nicole Squared. It’s a lethal combination on various levels.
Well that’s about all I can think of. Back to more paper writing… but stay tuned! There may (or may not) be more posts coming!
